From Erica Christensen, director, Glover Park-Burleith Farmers Market
I can't believe it's already September and Labor Day weekend is upon us! One of the best things about living in DC is spending holiday weekends in town. Many folks flee the city, but then that leaves the rest of city slickers with plenty of prime restaurant reservations and all the top picks at the farmers market! This week at market is no exception for high-quality goods.
We've got pop-up vendor Heritage Honey stopping by this week with honey produced from hives located in Georgetown! JKolb will be back for your musical entertainment, and the free bicycle clinic will be open from 10 am–1 pm!
The full line-up of this week's local offerings can be found online.
Visit www.communityfoodpartners.com for more information on vendors.
Conveniently located in the parking lot of Hardy Middle School across the street from Safeway at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 34th street, the market is open through November 21 from 9 am–1 pm.
