Girl Scout Cookie Time

It's February, which means Girl Scout cookie sales are off and running. The cookie program supports Girl Scout leadership activities, and all of the net revenue stays with the local Girl Scout Council. The program is now the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world! It teaches scouts as young as kindergarten how to set goals, ask people for their support, and learn basic bookkeeping.  

As a resident of Burleith and member of the local WIS Girl Scout Daisy Troop, I enjoyed selling cookies in our neighborhood last month. Thank you to everyone who bought a box! 

If you haven't already purchased cookies and wish to do so, you can find cookie booth sales near you by visiting the Girls Scouts website. My troop will be at the Georgetown Safeway on Sunday, March 5 from 1–5 pm. Please stop by to say hello, and perhaps buy a box of cookies. The cookies are scoutacular!
