DC Circulator Survey
/Information provided by ANC-2E commissioner Ed Solomon and DC Circulator website.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) wants to hear from you about the future of the DC Circulator system. According to the project website, the 2017 Transit Development Plan (TDP) updates the 2014 TDP and will focus on enhancing the existing service and providing guidelines to improve current service challenges that align with demand and development in DC. Route changes are proposed for the Georgetown-Union Station and Dupont Circle–Georgetown–Rosslyn routes as well as two of the other four routes.
In a June 2 email to the Burleith listserv, ANC-2E commissioner Ed Solomon wrote, "This is the second time that DDOT recommended removing the Upper Wisconsin Ave. portion of the Circulator route to Whitehaven. The communities of Georgetown, Burleith, Glover Park, Councilmember Evans and the business community were successful in preserving this part of the Circulator route. I hope you will join me in opposing this decision by DDOT. The elimination of the portion of the Wisconsin route would have a severe impact to the businesses and residents of upper Georgetown, Burleith and Glover Park."
Share your thoughts in a brief online survey or in-person at an upcoming Meet-the-Rider event across the city. Completing the survey takes about 5 minutes. At the end, you'll have the option to enter a drawing to win a SmarTrip card pre-loaded with $50 of transit fare. One winner will be randomly selected at the close of the survey on June 19, 2017.
