Students: They're Back
/By Georgetown University
We're excited to welcome new students to campus beginning today, August 23. Move-in for incoming students is highly anticipated, and we expect campus to be busy over the weekend.
The university is strongly encouraging employees to adjust their travel patterns by not driving to work today and is consolidating move-in activities on campus. During move-in weekend, the Office of Neighborhood Life will operate SNAP teams with additional hours. SNAP is a service coordinated by the university's Office of Neighborhood Life to enhance safety, assist and educate students, and respond to concerns from student and community members about the quality of life in the community.
The SNAP schedule for opening move-in weekend will be: Thursday from 10 pm to 3 am, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 3 am, and Sunday to Tuesday from 10 pm to 3 am. The university will also be collecting bulk trash from students moving into off-campus houses.
Please call the University Helpline at (202) 687-8413, 24 hours a day, for any noise, trash, or other neighborhood concerns.
