HD Voting: CANCELLED

After the May 4 publication of this post, the BCA Board reconsidered its decision to pursue a members-only vote on an application for historic designation. The board cancelled the planned vote described below and will replace it with a community-wide online survey that is open to Burleith residents and owners. (See May 14 emails to the BCA membership and listserv for the announcement.) A new website post includes the survey link and survey ground rules.

The information below is no longer in effect.

The resolution will be: "Do you support the BCA proceeding with an application for historic designation?" Yes/No.

In order to vote, you need to have an active membership in the BCA 30 days before the vote and on the date of the vote. You can join the BCA or renew your membership by accessing the BCA website. Note that only resident and non-resident landlord memberships are voting memberships, and that no corporation, trust, company, partnership, or other business entity is eligible for a voting membership.

There will be three opportunities to vote:

  • Tuesday, May 15, 5–8 pm at 3600 T Street (to vote, membership must be active on April 16th and May 17th)

  • Monday, June 4, 5–8 pm at 3600 T Street (to vote, membership must be active on May 4th and June 4th)

  • Saturday, June 16, 3:30–7 pm at the summer picnic (to vote, membership must be active on May 17 and June 16)

If you are unsure of your membership status, please check the last page of the March Burleith Bell.
