Editor’s Note: Originally published on February 27, this post has been updated to include information about DDOT’s public survey on the Palisades Trolley Trail and Foundry Trestle Feasibility Study. Please answer the survey or provide your comments on the online map. Your participation will help inform the feasibility study process. The survey includes nine questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey and map will be open until Sunday, March 31, 2019. (It’s definitely worth reading the map’s list of existing comments.)

This update also includes a video prepared by the DC Preservation League and a link to its petition. Regardless of whether you agree with DCPL’s position on preserving the trestle bridge for reuse as a bike and pedestrian bridge, the video content and archival footage are very interesting.
