Organized by the Burleith Citizens Association with the help of GU Facilities, GU Office of Neighborhood Life, and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, the annual fall community clean-up on November 14 drew more than 15 masked volunteers including many enthusiastic children with their parents.

For about two hours on a pleasant Saturday morning, volunteers picked up litter, bulk items, yard waste, and more! Not surprisingly, few Halloween candy wrappers were found amongst the leaves due to curtailed trick-or-treating this year. Disappointingly, there were a good number of used masks in the debris.
