Hauntingly Lovely

Our team of 5 judges had a difficult time choosing winners in the very first Burleith Halloween decoration contest. There were dozens of worthy contenders, but choose we had to. Winners received Visa giftcards.
First place ($100) went to 3620 Whitehaven Parkway. This house had many different types of decorations, from projected images and mood lighting in the windows, to copious amounts of spider webs and jack-o'-lanterns. Moreover, the judges were impressed that the entire front yard and three stories of the house were integrated into the festive show.
Second place ($50), 1923 37th Street, was recognized above all for the amazing bat-themed zipline that delivered treats from the second floor to waiting trick-or-treaters below.
Third place tie ($25), 3712 T Street, had an excellent light projection accompanied by a fog machine and eerie music.
Third place tie ($25), 1939 39th Street, attracted the judges with its several inflatables, cool lights, and a giant spider web.
