Join your friends and neighbors for the season farewell celebration of the Glover Park-Burleith Farmers Market this Saturday, November 19, at Hardy Middle School parking lot. We have a host of special activities planned.

Ace Hardware will be providing a mural painting activity for children of all ages, and the Fiber Arts Festival returns with a mini petting zoo! Chubbzy, the nicest clown in the city, will be at the market offering face painting and balloon animals.

You can sample apple pies baked by your neighbors from 10 am to noon, when GU's Spoon University will announce the winning pie. Yoga District of Glover Park will be hosting free yoga from noon to 1 pm. Bring your own mat or borrow one!

We'll feature vendors Spring Valley Farm and Orchard, Bonaparte Breads, Country Vittles Sustainable Meats and Dairy, Café Los Sueños organic coffee, Whisked! pies and sweets, Whirled Peas all-natural lunch options, and Plantmasters fresh-cut flowers.

Chat with the market vendors about what they have in store for the winter and where you can find them after this weekend. Many will be at the Saturday morning farmers market at Arlington Courthouse, which Community Foodworks also operates. Community Foodworks is a producer-only market, owned and operated by Community Foodworks, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Our markets double federal benefits spent at the market, including SNAP, WIC, and Senior FMNP.
